Consumer Engagement and Detriment Survey 2014

Executive summary The aim of the survey is to gather information about how consumers engage with markets, how frequently they encounter problems, and what they do to resolve those problems. It measures the amount of consumer detriment across selected sectors, the distribution of detriment and information about the outcomes associated with the detriment. It also examines consumer knowledge and capability and the relationship between consumer empowerment and detriment.
